Our Team
Dan Gross
My name is Dan Gross. I was born and raised in Montrose Mi. I grew up on our family farm.
Where we Cash crop farmed, Bought and sold new & used farm equipment.
My Passion to start up my own auction company started back when I was 5 years old.
I loved going to farm auctions with my father looking to score that next deal!
I was around the auction industry my entire life but never proceeded with my dreams until January of 2022.
I was in and out of the family business for many years as life sometimes directs you.
I came back to the farm and sales business back in July 2015. At that time, I slowly worked back into the business.
My wife Brina and I Officially took over the family business back in January 2021 when Elmer & Marge retired.
At that time, I bought out everything in our inventory that accumulated since 1965. As you could imagine there were a lot of unneeded things here, so we decided to have an inventory reduction auction August 2021.
At this time is when I really decided to fulfill my lifelong dreams to be an auctioneer and start Gross Auction Co.
We had a bad experience with how our inventory reduction auction was conducted.
So, I decided right then and there I was going to auction school and starting my own auction company.
I Graduated at American Auction Academy Back in January 2022 and we have never looked back!
We have hired several amazing employees and family of course which went through extensive training as well.
We conducted our first live & online auction in September 2022 and have had quarterly auctions ever since.
We are a veteran owned and operated company with several veteran employees.
We are a family-oriented company with several family members helping our team.
After encountering a very disappointing auction of our own by another company we pride ourselves on being the very best auction company we can be for our customers.
Here at Gross Auction Company, we strive to be the best and go above and beyond for our customers with HONESTY & INTEGRITY!

As it goes life took her in a different direction and now works full time in tech department, farm, and many other areas she is needed.
Dave Gross
Dave was a big part of the success of our business and never will be forgotten for what he did for the business and his family.
He ran the business and farm when Elmer was out on the road and made most repairs and did most of the hauling for years. He spent many hours in the shop making our equipment run to the highest standards, and always had a lot of pride in his work to make everything look better than new, and would not except anything but the best and he has passed those same values down to his brother Dan and Jeff.
