The model number of the recalled tractors can be located on the hood of the tractor. The tractors that John Deere is recalling are green and yellow and have open and closed operator stations. What is the issue that is causing the recall?
The issue that is causing this recall is due to brake failures. This recall was issued after the Illinois-based company received reports of brake linkage failures. Multiple people were injured, including one person hospitalized and two others with impact injuries. Also, John Deere has reported that there has been reports of minor property damage as well.

John Deere has issued a notice to have customers stop using these models of tractors immediately. If you do have any of these models of tractors, get ahold of your John Deere dealer and schedule an appointment to bring your tractor in for a free repair. If the tractor owner is unable to bring the tractor to the dealership, the dealership will make arrangements to come and repair the tractor at the owner’s residence. John Deere has said they are contacting all known purchasers directly.
